WOMEN AND RURAL URBAN DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION (WARUDA) an NGO, registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860, vide registration No. S-39707, Dated 12th June 2001, came into existence with sole objective of integrated social and humanitarian development. Organization has it head office in New Delhi and working in different parts of the states through it.

WOMEN AND RURAL URBAN DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION (WARUDA) is a non-political, non-sectarian, non-profit making NGO working in the field of Health, Education, Mid Day Meal, Environment, Women & Child welfare. WARUDA is spreading awareness in societies for last four years.

WARUDA has its presence in different part of NCT of Delhi through it local setups and branch offices. Society is registered with Govt. of Delhi and has its office at D-165, Arya Samaj Road, Uttam Nagar, New Delhi-110059.

Since inception, it has been an initiative of a team of committed individuals from different disciplines constantly trying to maintain strategic balance between Urban and Rural societies. WOMEN AND RURAL URBAN DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION (WARUDA) is a composite of Social Scientists, Environmentalists, Technologists, Doctors and other Professionals, who have joined hands to promote and protect the communities and the resources of urban as well as rural areas. In particular, it aims at upliftment of the down trodden section of the society, pre disaster awareness, relief management and rehabilitation activities, protection of environment and culture, health, education, women and child empowerment, training, research and networking. In collectivity, our emphasis is on integrated development. Major development activities of the organization are focused on fostering self-help and encourage community participation for sustainability.

WOMEN AND RURAL URBAN DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION (WARUDA) is engaged in providing Universlisation Elementary Education (U.E.E. Mission), Mid-Day Meal Programmes in MCD/Sarvodya School, Tuberculosis Prevention Programme through DOT Centres (under RNTCP), HIV/AIDS Awareness and Counseling, RCH Facilities, Pre-School Education to poor kids and many programmes for Women Welfare in urban JJ-Slum population of Hari Nagar, Mayapuri, Uttam Nagar, Najafgarh and surrounding areas.

Society has made it’s presence in the following areas of operation :-Society has taken issues of empowerment of women, to eradicate women atrocity, generate awareness regarding various issues like rights of

women, health education, RCH, safe motherhood, employments opportunities etc. Community development and community participation was encouraged and important day like Women Day, Mother’s Day, Human Right Day, AIDS Awareness Day, No Tobacco Day, Water Save Day, Tree Plantation Day, World TB Day, Cancer

Day and National Days were celebrated with local community in respective areas of working by social workers.
